“There aren’t words that would do Ashleigh and Roberds Farm justice! From the first time I reached out, Ashleigh met me with kindness and an eagerness to find her babies the right family. We explained that we are a newlywed couple with a 5 year old dog in a new city, and assured her we needed an easy going dog that would mesh well into our new lifestyle. One that wouldn’t bring chaos or added stress.

Our sweet little Inky has been just that. She has been the best puppy I’ve ever had. She is a quick learner, does not chew, and respects and responds to both me and my husband. She is full of personality and so fun, yet is the best cuddle bug and companion we could ask for.

We retrieved Inky from the Detroit Airport and it was the smoothest transition. Ashleigh completed all the necessary paperwork and arrived with a travel crate and calming toys. She also helped me choose the best flight, lol!

By 5 months, Inky already had learned how to sit, stay, shake, walk with a leash, lay down, play dead, fetch, and bark on command. Her and her older brother Dougie were instant best friends. They entertain each other for hours, and snuggle throughout the night. Inky has no issue when we take away her bones or food, she waits patiently for us to return them. She also has never chewed anything in our house or any of our things. She did well with crate training, we often find her taking naps in there by her own will!

Inky is adored by all of our family and friends because of how sweet and loving she is. We could not have picked a better dog, or breeder, to add to our new little family. We are forever grateful for Ashleigh and Roberds Farm - I can’t imagine us getting a pup from anyone else in the future!”

“Before I got my last dog, I had researched Bernese Mountain dogs. I loved the traits but their life expectancy was too short so opted to get a different breed. This time around I was going to get a Golden Retriever. That is, until I saw Golden Mountain Dogs. They are the best of both breeds. Likely a longer lifespan, but with the calm demeanor of a A Bernese Mountain Dog, great family dogs, and so cute! I knew I had to have one. My current dog, a Saint Bernard, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 3 years old. I love him more than anything, but I didn't want that again. I wanted a dog that I could have confidence about their health. Yet, Golden Mountain Dogs are a mixed breed. Most people don't do health testing for a mixed breed. Then I came across a post that mentioned Roberds Farm with multiple people commenting about how happy they were with their puppies that they got from Ashleigh, and she was in Michigan! I messaged her right away with questions, which she promptly answered, and I promised to get back to her when the time was right. When that time came, Ashleigh sent me a list a questions asking about our life and how we would care for the dog. When she was satisfied, I sent her a deposit and kept in touch. I had last pick of 3 boys. I wasn't worried though. After going over the website about 10 times I knew that even the last puppy would be perfect.

When it was almost time to pick him up we set a day and time for me to get him. Ashleigh had paperwork with everything we might need to know and set aside an hour to go over everything, meet the parents, a sibling from a previous litter, and our new baby. She gave us vet records, info on the parents (who are OFA tested!), she had us sign a contract saying if we ever couldn't keep our puppy that we would return him so he would never end up in a shelter. It also stated that we would get him neutered and that our puppy comes with a 10 day health guarantee. She told us that he was given heart, flea, and tick medication and a bath. We received a stuffed dog toy that smells like mom so puppy wouldn't be so scared when he left. She mentioned that she had already started the potty training process (which is going very well for us). We met the dam, sire, and a dog she kept from a previous litter. They were amazing! And I got to see where the puppies were kept (very clean). Then we brought our puppy home.

It's been about 4 weeks and things are great. He's had his check up and our vet said that Ashleigh did a great job with him. I can tell you, I've never spent this much on a dog, but I can definitely see a difference in how he acts versus other puppies I've had or met. He's so calm and gentle, doesn't jump, hardly barks, doesn't bite (teething), did great with fireworks on the 4th of July. He's loves other dogs. His nails were cut and shaped so if he were to jump it wouldn't scratch. I took him to our groomer just to keep up with his nails and get him used to it and he did amazing. You can tell Ashleigh had worked with them. This is seriously the best puppy I've ever had and absolutely everyone adores him. If you are looking for a Golden Mountain Dog, or even just A DOG to add to your family, Roberds Farm is the place to go. I can't say enough good things about the whole process and the puppy I got from them. You can tell they care and it makes all the difference.”

“I grew up with Golden Retrievers and have wanted my own for as long as I can remember. I spent months doing research and looking for a good breeder that matched everything I wanted in my dog. After searching and searching, I was lucky enough to find Ashleigh and Roberds Farm. The minute I looked at her page, I knew Ashleigh was the one I wanted to get my pup from. The immense care and time she puts into each litter is shown in how well adjusted and beautiful each of the past litters has grown into. I brought Finnegan home on June 23. He was from Oaklee and Gryffin’s Taylor Swift Eras litter. Finn is so well adjusted and has a great temperament. He constantly gets compliments on how gorgeous he is and how he just looks like a stuffed teddy bear. His puppy trainer even said she’s never seen another dog as good at reading social cues from others at this young of an age. “I can't say enough about how wonderful Maple, our Golden Mountain Dog, has been for my family. When we came to visit the farm, it was like love at first sight. She very, very quickly picked us and has been incredibly lovey from the start. We drove up from North Carolina to pick her up, and she was a champ the entire way home -- she whined a little bit, especially at the start, but she warmed up to it quickly, and didn't have any problems actually being in our car with us. Since then she's warmed up to the whole family really quickly, and she's had a great time with other dogs whenever she's had the opportunity. She's even gotten good about letting us know when she needs to go outside. Sometimes she can be a little obstinate, especially when she gets her eyes on something she wants to put in her mouth, but overall she's extremely well behaved, if a bit rambunctious. It amazes me how quickly she grows, too, it feels like she's almost as big as one of the full-grown golden retrievers I had when I was younger already at just 9 weeks old. We love her so, so much.”

My husband and I were fortunate to get a Golden Mountain Dog, from the Santa Clause litter. Our Basil (previously Charlie, pink collar female) has been a missing piece to our family. She is the happiest, most cuddly, well behaved dog. She was raised on puppy culture so with maintaining that learning aspect, Basil isn’t timid or scared of sudden movements or noises which happen frequently living in a city/townhome. We have the sweetest pooch and can’t wait to watch her grow into her personality. Thank you Roberds for your puppy, she is our happiness!”

What stood out about our experience was the excellent communication, pristine environment at her farm, and quality of the dogs she breeds. Ashleigh is open, professional, and so incredibly kind every time we connect. She does a great job of answering questions and providing regular updates. Her farm is a beautiful place and well-maintained. Our Maggie is the healthiest, prettiest pup in the world. It's apparent she was nurtured and well-cared for by Ashleigh.
